Unfold Den

Megan and Dylan were absolutely amazing teachers. I took four Intro to Sewing classes and had very limited experience coming in. They patiently walk you through every step of the way and in every class you walk out the door with a completed project. Each project helps build your confidence and layers on what you learned last class (Day 2 was making a tote bag!). Their classes shift your mindset from "perfect" to "done"- it's your first time, have fun, make mistakes, and learn! On the last class they even encourage you to work on something you're interested in. All materials were included and they offered morning and evening classes on certain days which gave me more freedom to pick and choose when I could come in for a class. Their studio is a very laid back environment in what used to be a school with other events going on which was very cool. Will absolutely be coming back for more advanced classes!

We love Unfold Den! My 7-year-old daughter has truly enjoyed learning to sew there after school. As a seamstress myself, I’ve tried many times to teach her with little success, so I’m really grateful for Megan, Ada, their patience, and encouragement. Thanks to Unfold Den, my daughter is learning how to confidently operate her sewing machine, and we’ve now started working on projects together at home. Thank you for helping us get over that initial learning curve so we can enjoy the creative process together. :)

Ada and Megan’s introduction to sewing class was just what I needed to feel confident getting back on a machine after a 17 year hiatus. We worked on two significant projects—both turned out great thanks to 1-1 support.

I’ve tried a couple of sewing classes elsewhere, and Unfold Den is hands down the best. I’ve taken 2 classes with them so far; they’re lovely people, amazingly helpful, and I actually feel like I’ve gained real skills and don’t waste my sewing time being frustrated. Love them.

Megan's intro to sewing class was PHENOMENAL! I had my sewing machine sitting in the box for months because I was too overwhelmed and didn't know where to start. Megan was amazing at easing you in and building your confidence while providing hands-on support. We made a quilted zippered pouch, a tote bag, and more, and I'm so glad I was able to start building my sewing repertoire. Additionally, the sew-cial hours are priceless! You can get hands on assistance in a super chill environment with other sewists.
