Caught Avenue Q at Town Hall Arts Center in downtown Littleton last night and it was outstanding. The cast was the most talented I've seen in Colorado theater, and Cass Dunn absolutely stole the show playing both Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut. Pulling off two leads in one production takes serious range, and her voice work, comic timing, and puppet performance were professional-grade across both. Tim Howard as Princeton and Rod was equally sharp, and Kim Egan crushed Christmas Eve. We had no idea we'd landed on the final dress rehearsal before opening night, which made it feel even more special. Town Hall Arts Center is an intimate 260-seat venue at 2450 Main St, and there is not a bad seat in the house. The sound is clean, the sightlines are great, and the whole experience feels closer to off-Broadway than community theater. Avenue Q runs through June 7, 2026. If you live anywhere in the Denver metro, drive down to Littleton and see it.

What a great venue! We saw Avenue Q here, and everything was fantastic. The theater is small and intimate, but that's a plus to me, because you don't miss a thing! Everyone was really nice and getting checked in for the show was a breeze. We parked nearby at Reinke Bros., which was very convenient. Highly recommend this theater, and hope to see another show here soon!

The Littleton Town Hall Arts Center went above and beyond in every possible way for our family, and especially for my 98-year-old grandmother, Betty. After losing her husband earlier this year after 78 years of marriage, Betty has understandably been having a very difficult time. As a Christmas Eve baby, we wanted to do something truly special for her 98th birthday, so I purchased front row center tickets to see Annie and reached out to the theatre in advance to share her story. From the moment we arrived, the care and kindness were extraordinary. They escorted Betty up via elevator, checked on her constantly to make sure she was comfortable, and treated her like absolute royalty. When we entered the theatre, we were completely blown away — the entire front row was decorated with “Happy Birthday” decorations wrapping around our seating area. Waiting for her was a gift bag with a tiara, a birthday girl sash, a heartfelt card signed by the Annie staff, and even complimentary tickets to return for another show — on the house. I cannot say enough about the hospitality shown by everyone: the front-of-house staff, back-of-house crew, the actors (and yes, even the dog!), and the wonderful people who called and emailed me so promptly and enthusiastically once they heard my request. Not only did they want to help — they truly delivered. Betty left that night excited, smiling from ear to ear, and talking about it nonstop. She is already thrilled to return with friends and family to see The Wiz next. That joy meant everything to us. I have been a loyal patron of this theatre for years, but after this experience, I can confidently say I will be loyal for life. Thank you to every single person who helped make Betty’s 98th birthday so unforgettable. And of course — Annie was FANTASTIC!!!!! We cannot wait to see you all again soon.

Ave Q was the worst most sophomoric humor musical I have ever seen! It first came out on 2003 and is SO dated, a song about whether someone is gay? Give me a break! It seemed the attempt was to be humorous and liberal but it was pathetic! Muppets having sex, give me a break! Maybe young teens would find the theme a bit risqué and laugh but honestly it was beyond my ability to tolerate and my husband and I left at intermission!
