The Trailhead Children's Museum is a wonderful spot for kids to learn through play in downtown Crested Butte. The location is extremely convenient and the staff couldn't be more courteous and helpful! Our kids repeatedly ask to go each time we are in town and it's always on our list of things to do whenever we visit. Everything is well organized and there are so many different things to do. Our kids particularly enjoy the art space. I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

Incredibly cute little children’s museum in CB! The stations and activities that this center has are so creative and applicable for so many ages! We spent a couple of hours in the afternoon there, but could’ve stayed for several more hours!

We had a great time here! It’s $10 a person (free for 2 and under). Our kids ages 8-4 played for 2 hours and would have stayed longer. Inside there’s tons of crafts, sensory bins, Legos, books, glow in the dark room with blocks, large foam building blocks, a large play camper with a kitchen set and tables etc - all great for imaginative play! Outside there’s a shaded water table, extra large Lego blocks for building forts, chalk and bubbles. Great for a cold, rainy or, in our case, hot day! Support Trailhead!

We have been coming to their new central location on Elk for 2 years and have nothing but good things to say about it! Older posts mention previous locations that don't capture the current museum and how much work they have put in to being an amazing gathering place for local and out of town families. We love it here.

The Trailhead Children's Museum was recommended to me by a local and definitely lived up to the hype! Our family was in CB over Thanksgiving and we were able to snag a spot for our daughter at the day camp while we went x-country skiing. She doesn't enjoy snow sports but loves arts & crafts, so this was perfect for her. She had a great day crafting her heart out with Sarah! We didn't do a drop-in, but it's only $10. It's a great deal for a parent looking to entertain their younger kids for an hour or two. They have tons of craft supplies, big blue building blocks, a stage for imagination play, and a STEAM area. The best age for this is probably 2-8, maybe 10 depending on your kiddo's imagination and inclination towards art.
