Absolutely would 100% recommend! I took lessons through Smoky Hill Music for almost 12 years and this is some of the best teaching you will ever come across for lessons. My instructor was extremely knowledgeable about many music topics and very patient when it came to learning new things. My instructor taught me to play guitar, bass, and I even had a few lessons in Banjo because I asked about it. I can safely say Smoky Hill Music taught me something new every single lesson, without fail. Aside from the value of these lessons, My instructor was an incredible motivator, as well as one of the nicest and most inspiring people I have met. To this day, we still catch up every so often and I continue to learn about music all these years later.

My children and I love Smoky Hill Music! The owner/teacher was a professional musician and can literally play anything - any genre, any artist, any song, anything! My girls go back and forth between pop, country, and rock. They select a song they want to learn, the instructor deconstructs it so they can understand every note and chord, and then he reconstructs it so they can practice and eventually play the entire song. They are learning to play electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and ukulele. They are learning and having a great time! The instructor is very generous with his time, great with everyone of all ages and skill level, and flexible when we have to change up a lesson due to a conflict. We highly recommend Smoky Hill Music for anyone interested in learning to play guitar or ukulele - you won't regret it!

I’ve been taking lessons with Smoky Hill Music since I was a complete beginner. They not only helped me build a solid foundation, but also gave me the confidence and skills to get out there and play at open mic nights—something I never thought I’d do. I’ve learned so much about acoustic and electric guitar, pedals, tone, and more. There’s a ton of knowledge at Smoky Hill Music, and I can’t recommend them enough!

Smoky Hill music is fantastic. As an older student picking up guitar for the first time it was great to have a teacher that can not only teach the songs and techniques but also make it fun. I look forward to every lesson

Thank you Smoky Hill Music and my amazing music teacher for helping me learn to play the ukulele. My life long dream was to play an instrument. Once I retired, and dove into YouTube tutorials I realized I needed more. My teacher’s patience, kindness and love of his craft made me a better player. Next week I’m buying a guitar!
