Shredder Fly Fishing

My daughter loved this class. Coach Jim and Coach Meghan are the best. At 5 years old my daughter can already put together a fly rod, cast, search for bugs to identify the correct fly to use, and is working on tying knots. We knew nothing about fly fishing before this class. My husband and I are now comfortable investing in the equipment and going out as a family to fly fish. If you are curious about this sport and/or trying to introduce your child to fly fishing this is the class for your family.

My son and daughter love this camp so much!! The coaches are great and my kids have learned so much about fly fishing. It’s so great for them to spend extra time outdoors while having so much fun. We also really like the flexibility since you can choose single days, and/or half days. Definitely doing the this camp again next year!

It was over 90 degrees for my kids' camp, and they still came home so excited from fishing with Coach Jim and Coach Will! They lost count of how many fish they caught, and the coaches even sent me photos of the kids during the day so I could see some of the action! We have had great experiences with Shredder Skiing, and Shredder Fly Fishing was maybe even better! The kids are already asking when they can go again.

This is my son’s second year doing Shredder Fly Fishing. This year he went with two friends and had an absolute blast. We are even thinking of signing up for another day this summer. Jim is a fantastic guide and all the kids in the group were so sweet. Highly recommended!

Coach Jim is an elite level teacher and mentor for kids learning how to fly fish! He is patient and knows how to meet kids where they are at catering to the age level and particular needs that each unique child brings. My son raves about Coach Jim because he teaches many different skills and switches things up to keep things fresh and playful but also provides a supportive experience where kids feel like they're growing in the craft of fly fishing. My son has done many summer camps and he says, by far, that Shredder Fly fishing is the BEST!
