Pueblo Zoo Summer Camp

Pueblo Zoo is okay for a quick visit of an hour or so, especially with young children. The staff seem to care about the animals, and the zoo is clean and easy to walk through. However, there are not many animals compared to other zoos, and several exhibits feel outdated and in need of renovation. I was also surprised that there isn't a zebra, even though a zebra appears in the zoo's logo. The zoo has potential, but it would benefit from more animals and updated facilities to make the experience more memorable. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're in the area, but there is definitely room for improvement.

I love going to visit the Pueblo zoo and feel the drive from the springs is always worth the trip. It is a smaller zoo, but also much less busy they Denver or Cheyenne zoo. I also love the tall trees which provide a lot of shade because it sits near the river. It feels like an oasis compared to most areas around the springs.

We had a wonderful time in Pueblo at the zoo! Laid back, relaxing, and no crowds. Kids had a great experience.

While small, it has great exhibits. The plaques are informative. Most of the exhibits actually have animals (unlike the Denver Zoo) with the real exception being their historic exhibits which still stand as informational pieces to the past (but aren't up to current standards for say, bears). Honestly such a great place for kids and like a really fun park.

We had a wonderful experience! We had gotten tickets for the behind the scene with the Red Panda. Which with behind the scenes tickets you also get access to the zoo. The behind the scenes was such a unique and special experience plus a cool way to support the zoo/animal you love. The zoo keepers were wonderful to interact with during the experience. After we walked around the zoo, which was so nice! Lots of animals all looked well cared for, the layout was nice and enjoyable was outside/inside options.
