Loved this place! I did the band program which was an awesome way to put everything into practice and get some live performance experience! You learn how to play with other people and see just how hard that can be sometimes/how much effort goes in to preparing a solid set. It feels like a real band but you get the structure, guidance, and accountability of a couch. I started off just doing vocals and then ended up strumming guitar on a few songs too so it is pretty comprehensive and you can get as involved as you want. Robby and Nick are great too! Would highly recommend!

I love Music Life Denver. Robby and Nick are truly savants and amazing teachers as well. The adult band has been such a memorable experience that I keep coming back for more. Thank you both for all that you do.

Our family has had a great experience with Musical Life over the years. Our daughter participated in Band 101 and Band 102 for several years, where she learned to play bass guitar, gained confidence as a musician, and made friendships that have lasted well beyond the program. The instructors created a supportive environment that challenged the students while making music genuinely fun. Later, our older daughter joined as a vocalist. Even though she came in at a different stage, she was welcomed immediately and had the opportunity to grow both musically and personally. What sets Musical Life apart is that it's about much more than learning an instrument. The students become part of a community where they build confidence, learn to collaborate, perform together, and develop lasting friendships.

I highly recommend MLD! I've been taking lessons with Nick for almost 2 years and have progressed so much as a guitarist. The jam sessions and band program have also been a great experience getting to play with others and in front of a crowd. Nick and Robby are both highly gifted musicians and teachers!

I’ve been playing Guitar for about four years now and got to a point where I felt like I wanted to perform and try to do open mic nights. So I signed up for the adult band program at Musical Life Denver. What an amazing transformative opportunity! I thought I was going in to learn how to perform and play music with other people, but in addition to that I learned skills that I didn’t think I needed. I learned how to keep playing through my mistakes and find my way back into rhythm when I lost tempo or hit the wrong chord. I learned how to hear if my singing was off pitch and even learned to sing at a higher register than I thought I was capable of. In short, while I thought I was learning how to perform, the long-term learning that I’m taking away from the class is the self-confidence that I didn’t know I was lacking to start to actually become a Musician. Technically, I also learned how to play riffs fast faster than I ever thought I could, and ended up having a good time, playing a song on stage in front of over 100 people even though at the beginning of the program, I thought I was never going be able to even play that song. Nick, the instructor was really straightforward and supportive and gave clear instructions which we could all take to heart to improve and play better together. And the people in the band that they played with were really amazing, kind and openhearted people. I’m looking forward to participating again 😊
