Morgan Community College

If you’re considering taking one of Morgan Community College’s advertised “Tuition Free Courses,” read the fine print before registering. I enrolled in a course believing the program would cost me nothing beyond textbooks. After registering, I was billed $117.95 in mandatory institutional fees. The college later explained that while tuition is covered, students are still responsible for required fees, and pointed to language on the website stating students must “pay any fees.” I’m not claiming the college violated its policies, but I do believe prospective students should know that “Tuition Free” does not mean there will be no out-of-pocket cost. Before you enroll: * Ask for the total cost, including all mandatory fees. * Request an itemized fee breakdown before registering. * Don’t assume “tuition free” means “free.” I hope Morgan Community College considers displaying the approximate mandatory fees more prominently so students know what to expect before enrolling.

Very helpful staff and teachers. If you have a problem, it’s going to be solved quickly and efficiently.

I signed up for GED classes and I felt the whole sign up process was messed up. I didn't hear back from her most of the time. I asked if I needed materials or books and never got a response. I tried to sign up to just take the exams and pay for them myself through MCC limon, but they told me no I couldn't do that. I had to go through Fort Morgan. The day of class (virtual) I didn't receive any kind of contact, then after the class I was sent an online calculator, to which I responded "never got zoom link" The next day I was invited to class. The entire class was spent on helping 1 girl with her understanding of a math problem and felt like I was listening in to a tutoring session. That's how most of them went. Everything was YouTube videos on how to do the problems, which I can look up myself. When my children got covid and I informed them I wouldn't be in class I received a few emails questioning MY dedication. Then, halfway through classes a book is mentioned. Funny I was never told about that and then even later I was asked about my study guide, again, something I never received. I was told numerous times upon registration that I would be able to test in Limon, where I live, and then later I was told I had to go to fort Morgan. (This would require numerous day trips which I couldn't do). Yet, in class another person from Limon was told her could test here, so idk why I was told I had to go there... My final straw was when I got on for class 5 mins early and the teacher and registration lady were discussing how I would most likely fail the test. I was livid and hurt. If I'm not doing well in class, thats on the teacher. I didn't learn 1 single thing through those classes and I'm extremely irritated by the whole experience.
