This place is incredible. The property has incredible views of the mountains and is well maintained and clearly loved. The horses are on another level all together. They are beautiful, smart, loving, and incredibly intuitive. They can meet you where you are, or as they did for me, push you go further (emotionally.) Medicine Horse is truly an experience that everyone should try, whether working through a personal relationship or building upon a group dynamic. Highly recommend.
View on Google ↗Medicine Horse is a wonderful and welcoming place. You will find the staff to be very supportive and caring. The animals (mini donkeys, goats, mini horses, full-sized horses, and sheep) are all adorable and well cared for. They offer a variety of programs to people from all walks of life. They also host fun events like their annual Unicorn Days. It’s also a really fun place to volunteer.
View on Google ↗A wonderful place to grow and connect with horses! All the personnel is very kind. I participated in many meditations and group therapy sessions and it was an amazing experience! Every time I go, I feel connected, cherished and heard. The horses don’t talk but they can connect with you in mystic ways that can heal you! Highly recommended!
View on Google ↗I have not personally participated in any sessions, but I have boarded my two horses here for almost two years and it is by far my favorite place I have kept them on the front range. The attention to their care and well being is phenomenal and the community of staff and boarders is kind and welcoming. The facility is wonderful as well. Medicine Horse does a great job accommodating horses with special care requirements and always do their best to make sure that all the animals are happy, healthy, and ready to participate in their sessions. Both my elderly retired gelding and younger active mare enjoy participating in therapy work and it has been a great way to keep my old guy happy and engaged after his riding years.
View on Google ↗I was thrilled when I came across a horse-based therapy program for breast cancer survivors. I grew up around horses and found myself missing the interaction I used to have with them. I honestly did not give much thought to the actual therapy; I was simply looking forward to time with the horses. I had no idea how wrong I would be. The group provided a relaxed, open atmosphere to share individual experiences with breast cancer. The setting is informal on a beautiful ranch in Longmont. The therapists utilize the person-to-horse bonding process to help explore your own personal awareness. It is amazing how this process can give better direction on your own emotional roadmap. I am blown away by how insightful and enlightening the program has been for me. I personally have grown exponentially from my time in the Medicine Horse Therapy. The Therapists, volunteers and staff are warm, supportive, and knowledgeable. The horses are calm, patient and giving. I deeply recommend this program for anyone wanting to explore a better understanding of themselves.
