01Music Industry (2-Week)

A two-week deep dive into the modern music industry covering contemporary performance, songwriting, music business, production, and recording arts. Students pick morning electives and afternoon ensembles; no tests or grades.

Students learn photography fundamentals from darkroom to digital lab, using CU Denver's facilities with downtown Denver and Auraria Campus as inspiration. A DSLR or mirrorless camera is required.

Students choose two focus areas from 2D animation (Adobe Animate), 3D animation (Maya), Concept Art for Games & Animation (Blender), and stop motion. Suited to all ability levels and taught by CU Denver faculty and pros.

Students create their own films and experience every step of production, from brainstorming and scriptwriting through filming and screening, learning lighting, sound, editing, and color correction. All equipment is provided.

Inspired by Meow Wolf, students create immersive interactive spaces combining painting, stop motion, 3D laser cutting, mold-making, textiles, and video projection. Work is often displayed on Denver's D&F Clocktower.

LYNX Camp has been a fantastic hands on experience for my daughter the past 2 years! The flexibility of a commuter option and having 2 weeks to work on animation with professional instruction and wonderful support has really helped shape her interests and skills for college.
