What an amazing, cute, and art filled museum. The main exhibition was in transition so unavailable, but the history side was open and included a fun little gnome hunt for our son who throughly enjoyed it. They even had a little treasure chest for those who finished the search to pick from. They have an adorable gift shop with local artists work featured to buy and the outside has some cool sculptures!
View on Google ↗Visited the Loveland Museum of Art on the opening day of the 2026 Governor's Art Show. Some of the artists were present at the show, which was smallish but displayed on three levels and definitely worth the entry fee of $10 (or $7 for locals) pleasant effort. Of course, Rosetta had some of her gorgeous bronze cat sculptures displayed at the Show's entrance, with an enticing golden vanilla color. I shook hands with artist Jeremy Manyik, whose "Last Light on the Front Range" oil took first place with me! Front desk staff are sweet and knowledgeable--ask for the "light show" on the absolutely amazing painting behind the reception desk! The gift shop, although small, has a wonderful selection, including some unique Loveland-only postcards, and, of course, you can buy (supports the museum and its causes) and engrave your "love lock" before you put it on the beautiful metal hearts sculpture in the museum's side courtyard! With your museum admission, you can also peruse the Loveland Valentine Remailing Exhibit, the Leadville Gold Rush b/w photo exhibit, the historical Old West exhibit, the Big Thompson project gigantic relief map on the upper level, and the Great Western (GW Sugar) Beet Company exhibit--which is pleasantly amazing! Don't miss this wonderful museum in the Heart of Downtown Loveland, the Sweetheart City! Highly Recommended! P.S. 1) The museum should *not* allow photographing/videoing of the actual ART exhibit(s) (for the protection of the artists) and 2) appropriately placed viewing benches would not be out of line!
View on Google ↗Great little local art and local history museum! We paid $10 each and easily lost 2 hours having fun walking around 3 floors worth of galleries
View on Google ↗Went on a free day. It's a cool museum. They had an exhibit featuring a local artist sculpture, very impressive. Also saw an exhibit called The Art of Death showing different photos of various cemeteries in Colorado. Also featured is the history of Loveland including sugar and beet production and the development of electricity and the Big Thompson river.
View on Google ↗A super adorable and well maintained museum featuring the history of Loveland in addition to some cool art exhibits!! I was super impressed with the displays, but I think the topographical map of the Thompson Valley was incredibly interesting to explore. Great little Saturday morning experience! We had a great time!
