I cannot believe the treatment my child and I received. The women at this center is extremely rude and treats people less than. My daughter receives myspark which is funded by Denver public schools. Her attitude towards my daughter and I was very degrading. She asked how my daughter was in math when she said she is good she looked at me and was like “she says her math is good.” My daughter is behind on math, you would think an educator would know better than to put a child on the spot in front of other children about a possibly embarrassing subject. Then scuffed and rolled her eyes when I said my daughter is about a grade level behind. When I decided we would go to another center she told my 11 year daughter “you can just go.” And grabbed the assessment sheet my child was working on. She is unkind I cannot believe anyone would go here. Just as another reviewer her only focus was on payment. The other Kumon centers are much kinder and offer 2 days a week for math for a better rate.

I had a scheduled appointment at this Kumon location for 2:00 PM. I arrived at 1:50 PM, but the doors were locked, and no staff was present. At 1:58 PM, we saw a staff member rushing in, still unlocking the door. We followed her inside, and while she did say hello, the interaction was immediately awkward. I had to take the initiative to introduce myself before she even told me her name. It felt like I was the one trying to earn her time and attention, rather than being a potential client assessing whether this was the right place for my child. The experience only got worse from there. She had no paperwork ready, gave no explanation of the program, and made no effort to assess my son’s skills. Instead, I had to drive the entire conversation, asking questions and trying to get information because she offered little to nothing on her own. The lack of structure and professionalism was concerning. What stood out the most was her obsession with payment. She repeatedly emphasized that testing would only be done after enrollment and payment, which was completely different from every other Kumon experience I’ve had. She even kept asking if my payment would go through and made comments implying that $200 might be too expensive for me. The entire conversation gave off an uncomfortable, judgmental vibe that felt completely inappropriate. On top of that, she had no knowledge of the sponsored program I mentioned that helps cover Kumon tuition. As someone working in education, she should be aware of financial assistance options, yet she seemed completely clueless. Throughout the conversation, she barely engaged, repeated questions we had already answered, and gave off an impatient, dismissive attitude. Both my son and I noticed how snappy she became by the end, making the experience even more uncomfortable. It was clear that this location is unorganized, money-driven, and lacks genuine care for students. The staff member seemed more focused on securing a payment than actually assessing whether my child was a good fit for the program. Given what I experienced today, I’m not surprised she mentioned having very few students. I do not recommend this location to anyone. If you’re looking for a quality Kumon experience, I highly suggest going to the Lowry location instead. Save your time, money, and patience—this place is not worth it.

My girls have been going to Kumon since they were in Kindergarten and now they’re in 3rd grade. Ms. Preethy has been crucial in boosting their math and English skills, and thanks to her they have scored better than their peers in class!

My son has been attending Kumon for about a year and a half. After the pandemic and other issues he had gotten pretty behind in school and tutoring seemed like a good option. Twice a week in the Kumon classroom keeps him accountable and the homework has been doable. He is motivated to keep passing the “levels” and Miss Preethi is a wise, calm presence as he works through his assignments. In his time here he has increased several grade levels in reading and it looks like he’ll be ready for middle school. So happy we found this place.

Ms.Preethi has always been receptive to my questions and concerns, promptly addressing them with care and professionalism. As a parent, witnessing my son's transformation has been incredibly rewarding. Not only has he shown significant academic growth, but his self-confidence has also soared. He now approaches challenges with a positive attitude, knowing that with hard work and determination, he can overcome any obstacle. I wholeheartedly recommend Kumon on Colorado Blvd Denver to any parent seeking an enriching educational experience for their child. The program's emphasis on self-learning, discipline, and individualized attention has allowed my son to flourish academically while building a strong foundation for future success.
