When I did my Avalanche training course practical in Crested Butte it could not have been worse. First of all, this guide skinned uphill and never looked back once to check on the group. He outpaced everyone but how would he know? He took us into whiteout conditions and I had to say hey this is very dangerous and I feel like I need to leave. I saved my own life that day and based on other people losing their lives in similar conditions I want to say stay far far away from this guide group.
View on Google ↗Irwin Guides provided me with an outstanding float fishing trip on the Gunnison River last week. Sasha paired me with Nate Rigsby and that turned out to be the perfect pairing. Nate is knowledgeable, educational, extremely patient and encouraging and a tremendous person to spend the morning with on the river. I cannot recommend Nate, Sasha, Maddy, and Irwin Guides enough. They were absolutely perfect.
View on Google ↗I had the opportunity to take an intro to backcountry skiing tour w/ Irwin Guide Chris M. It was a truly unique and memorable experience. Everything about the process from selecting a trip, getting coordinated beforehand and the on mountain experience was extremely professional and very smooth. Chris is an excellent and knowledgeable guide. I felt that he crafted the tour to meet my level of interest in technique and information about avalanche awareness and travel. We had a great day and skied some untracked lines in awesome powder. Would highly recommend.
View on Google ↗Such a great experience mountain biking for the first time. Very knowledgeable guide who let us set the pace and take on some bigger challenges. Appreciated the training in the beginning before hitting the trails that gave us some pointers on how to maneuver on the bike. 10/10 would recommend this experience.
View on Google ↗Had a great experience with the whole family on a morning rock climbing tour for our son's birthday. All of the kids loved it (13, 14 and 18), and the parents got in on it as well. Our guide Karin was awesome - patient, encouraging and positive. Would do it again!
