Powered by GoogleHappy we stopped by this visit to Golden. Have been by the area many times but they're always closed due to the hours. They close on the earlier aide of the day. But today they were open. Cute small museum. We entered 30 minutes before closing time and that was enough time for us to go through the different rooms and see some of the highlights. Interesting history. The staff was very nice and helpful. Free admission. Free Activities for kiddos to do if you have younger kids. Recommend if you have free time and are in the area.
View on Google ↗Great lecture Jan 28th on the WWII 10th Mountain Division by author Lance Blyth "Ski Climb Fight" (Instagram @mtn_war). The photos I've attached are in a display of the local Native American attire. The small ivory colored decorations are elk teeth.
View on Google ↗This was an amazing FREE history museum, the worker Kermit was absolutely phenomenal. They have a cute little gift shop and so many cool things to look at. Definitely recommend
View on Google ↗We enjoyed walking around the museum. It's free and a nice place to spend an afternoon. They have kids activities, seating, WiFi, and tables outside by the river. The parking is free. Just be sure to park in the museum designated spots or you can get a ticket. The employees at the desk are very friendly and helpful. We learned that their chicken coop currently does not have chickens but they are getting new baby chicks in spring 2025.
View on Google ↗Enjoyed the interesting history they had about Golden and it's community members. A small and neat museum.
