Beautiful sights to see, and the best time to visit would be fall and winter if you enjoy the colder vibes. It definitely snows here, and once it does the snow doesn't stop for a while. Be prepared to slip. Fort Lewis has its pros and cons, and the latter is based on personal preference. If you like staying in smaller rooms, then sure this college has that checked. The professors are helpful, and considering that FLC is a smaller college, students can have more one-on-one time with them.

I'm commenting from a visitor's perspective. Easily the most beautiful campus I have ever seen. Sitting on top of a hill overlooking the town of Durango and surrounding mountains, with deer roaming freely unsuspicious of people. Can drive to the vibrant downtown in 5 min, or climb a newly constructed stair path of 500 steps to town. Nice facilities. Must be a beautiful experience to study and live here.

Shockingly it is built on a small mountain making perfect views, perfect for motivating college students. If your in track this place is perfect for training.
