The Evergreen Nature Center is so amazing! I love their programs for kids, and the staff are all so caring, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. Check out the cute turtles they had out today! 🐢

Such a sweet nature center. Maddy was very friendly and welcoming while we were there. The bird viewing room is so sweet and the handmade animal costumes cannot be beat. The kids room was awesome and my little ones did not want to leave.

The lake was frozen, a few people were ice fishing and the rest were playing and taking pictures. It's Christmas Day and the rink was closed so nobody skated, but it was fun nonetheless. One fisherman said he didn't catch any fish, and it's been warm, the ice was melting. I could see large cracks, however it was still safe to walk on top.

The new nature center is lots of fun for kids—set up with microscopes and lots of cool stuff to look at, a night room where kids can wear headlamps and feel for fox fur in hollows, and a playroom with all kinds of animal costumes, puppets, and books and puzzles to help kids learn about nature. I highly recommend it. Take your kids on a cold, blustery day to escape the humdrum and spark their imagination.
