Elemental Studios

I can not recommend Elemental Studios enough! They have all sorts of classes from Twerk, hip-hop, heels, k-pop, contemporary and so much more. They have fundamental classes, beginner, open level, intermediate/advanced. There are people of all levels in every class. It's an extremely non-judgemental environment. I started my journey with them a little over a year ago. I never thought I'd dance again with everything I've been through. All the instructors have been amazing, are supportive. If you've ever thought about doing classes just do it! Step out of your comfort zone!

Elemental Studios has been such an amazing place to dance! The instructors are talented, encouraging, and create such a welcoming environment. Every class is fun, empowering, and makes me excited to come back. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a supportive and positive dance community.

This dance studio has truly become my second home.It gave me more than a place to dance—it gave me a community, lifelong friendships, and a family that always makes everyone feel welcome. From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re accepted, supported, and encouraged to be yourself. I’m so grateful to be a part of something so special. If you’ve been thinking about dancing or just want to meet incredible people, come try a class. You never know—you might just find your second home too.

I’ve taken a few classes here, and all of the instructors here always have great energy and skill, but as a complete beginner showing up to a class and already being extremely nervous having people outside the class that weren’t filming or participating in the class just stand there and watch the entire time was extremely nerve wracking. I’ve taken all the recommendations the studio provided for being a true beginner at dancing, but so far all of them have still moved at a pace that I and others have noticed is for dancers with moderate experience or already have the general fundamentals down. The groove fundamentals class I took today had isolations and chest rolls in it. There aren’t classes here that cater to truly new dancers new to movement and rhythm to feel comfortable for fundamentals or venturing into the next stages of beginner classes. Even though the instructor was kind, I couldn’t wait to get home to escape how embarrassed and overwhelmed I felt from the class, and I’ve felt this way in every beginner/fundamentals class I’ve attended here but wanted to keep trying all my options so I just didn’t quit to quit. I’m going to have to stick to youtube for a while to get my bearings and hopefully progress from there to a studio.

I have been going to K-POP dance classes since last year and Nicki is an amazing person ❤️ she encourages people to ask questions when they have difficulty with a part of the choreography being taught. She walks us through the choreography as the music is playing and even plays it on a slower pace so that we can fully grasp the choreography. Nicki truly is a great instructor.. however, since I’ve been going to these classes… today is the first day I truly felt embarrassed and belittled by others attending the class . I’m sure Nicki knows how overcrowded it can get as it’s noticeable and she does her best to switch us all around so that we’re in different spots and everyone can see/learn the choreography. Nicki stresses that the space is meant to be an environment for everyone to be themselves. Today, that wasn’t the case for me. I kept moving and girls kept blocking me on purpose no matter where I moved. There was a person that was on the side and just came in front of me, mean mugged me, and wouldn’t give me space to be able to even dance And there are other girls that do this with other people I go to class with. I felt like I didn’t belong there today. I walked away today not only NOT learning the choreo, but not even able to dance and watch myself in the mirror to do it correctly and on top of that, being made felt like I have no business being there in the first place. I realize this is out of Nicki’s control but I genuinely wanted to cry after dance class today. If you don’t go in a group or are part of a group that knows Nicki, good luck :(
