Powered by GoogleI have been going through their Tai Chi training for the past four months and have found it to be a fantastic experience. It is a workout, but I leave feeling relaxed yet energized. The Sifus John, Chris, and Bradley are great to learn from, along with the student coaches. They focus on core muscle development and slow/well controlled movements. They let you progress at your own pace, yet always push you to keep expanding on your forms. They also offer a lot of specialty classes such as intro to traditional Chinese medicine, push hands classes, among others.
View on Google ↗As I am getting older I found my balance was becoming an issue and heard Tai Chi could help. I searched and found Denver Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi. I truly thought this would be like old people Tai Chi in the park. I am finding my experience to be so much more rewarding. The benefits from practicing Tai Chi not only helps my balance but it helps me find my center after a crazy day, and gives me energy. I always feel so accomplished after class. John and Chris are so supportive and patient. It is worth checking out.
View on Google ↗I’ve been taking classes here two to three days a week for the past month. The instructors are patient and willing to show people like me the same moves over and over until we get it right. I appreciate that a lot because abuse there was one day when I felt like a complete clumsy failure, but Sifu John was patient and showed me yet again how to do “hands like clouds” and I might actually be able to do the first 8 now without further coaching! (No promises!). Thank you.
View on Google ↗I searched long and hard for a studio teaching traditional Shaolin Kung Fu and Tai Chi. The Denver institute fits the bill perfectly, with wonderful instruction by Sifu John and Sifu Christopher as well as a supportive and welcoming group of students.
View on Google ↗I love Denver Shaolin! I have always been interested in learning Tai Chi and I found the perfect place. The instructors are great and even the more experienced practicioners are always willing to help. I feel I get individualized help. Tai Chi is not easy for me and really takes concentration but the mind-body connection is so important to those of us of a certain age. I feel that I am making progress but it is at my own pace! I feel very supported.
