The Bible Verse- Not all have the gift of Healing. This means that some people do not have this gift. Please dont claim to have some sort of healing ministry gift and then really are not blessed with it. Almost every sermon Pastor Brian claims to have this ministry. I have not seen or felt this gift from the ministry and just felt like it was lacking sinceratiy and any form of closeness. First its emotional healing- then Im told its physical- then they dont have any time at all to talk to me. Move on. Cornerstone is a small church- still in the same building after 20 years. It seems like just a waste of time- and a new way to get MORE people in the door. Get noticed and more attention. That is in fact my experience.
View on Google ↗I have been going to cornerstone for about four years now and I’ve got to say that cornerstone truly feels like home! I’ve been to a couple of other churches before cornerstone that I just wasn’t able to feel connected at but at cornerstone I have so many people that I know will be my friends for life. I am in high school and I have loved how the youth group has a balance of fun as well as seriousness and spiritual growth. I am always learning something new at both high school group as well as main church and the Holy Spirit is definitely moving, working, and teaching in this church. All of the pastors and leaders truly have a heart for Jesus and serving him and loving on people. My leaders that I have been with for four years have truly been such a blessing as well as a safe and loving space to go to! If you’re looking for a church home I could recommend no better place! God bless you!
View on Google ↗You don’t find community like this everyday. A beautiful church with authentic and kind people. If you’re looking for a unpretentious, safe environment to explore your faith and make real connections, this is a place worth investing in. Made up of open people who are genuine and non judgmental, great leadership, and sound teaching. Check it out, you won’t regret it!
View on Google ↗I have to say this church is seriously lacking. I had my child do dedication here and they mispronounced their name in front of the whole church multiple times. I sat through a service listening to the pastor spend over 5 minutes talking about how challenging it was for him to write a sermon while passing kidney stones and that due to this experience he fully understands what childbirth feels like. It was embarrassing and disgusting. Another sermon, the pastor spent over 10 minutes talking about karate kid, a show I’ve never even seen. Other sermons feel like history lessons not messages of faith and inspiration. There are some great people at this church and great ways to get involved in community, but overall the spirituality here is seriously lacking. It’s hardly a Christian feeling church. There is not a single cross in the entire building. I got burnt out trying to derive meaning out of shallow messages and having uncomfortable interactions with the staff. Moreover I feel they put a lot of emphasis in trying to collect money from people and expect everyone to pay for these poorly done sermons. It’s a great place to meet people with similar faith, the bad acoustics make it difficult to sing because there is no reverberation. I think after the child dedication I was so humiliated and horrified I really gave up on this place.
View on Google ↗Visiting from Austin, and was warned about all of the theologically skewed churches and lack of authentic Christians in Boulder. This place says otherwise! As far as I could tell, seems like a fantastic and Biblical community, full of welcoming and loving people dedicated to truth, and led by a solid pastor.
