We stayed in Frisco and went skiing on a Saturday at the end of February. We had beautiful day and not windy. It was my first time skiing in this ski resort. My husband and adult kids are advanced and I like to ski in intermediate trails. This ski resort offered a variety of trails for all levels. We had the Ikonpass and glad that this resort is included.

Copper Mountain absolutely exceeded my expectations for my first visit. I scored an incredible end-of-season deal for just $49, and even with only three lifts running, the day was beyond worth it. When I first arrived and saw Copper called “The Athlete’s Mountain,” I was curious — but after riding, I completely understood. The entire experience felt natural, freeing, and elevated. Being surrounded by skilled, confident riders created a smoother, more intuitive atmosphere where I wasn’t constantly worried about unpredictable traffic or collisions. I could actually focus on riding, progression, and enjoying the mountain. It genuinely felt like I belonged there. One of the biggest unexpected highlights was Copper’s app. As a first-time visitor, having access to trail maps, navigation, and real-time tracking made a huge difference. It helped me confidently figure out where I was, plan where I wanted to go next, and maximize my day without feeling overwhelmed on unfamiliar terrain. That feature alone made the mountain feel much more accessible and enjoyable. Even while adjusting to new terrain and a newer board setup, Copper made it easy to settle in. The conditions were fantastic, the lift flow was efficient, and the terrain variety was exceptional. I logged over 20,000 vertical feet, nearly 19 miles, and 24 runs — incredible value for a $49 day pass. American Eagle, Excelerator, and Super Bee kept the day moving, while runs like Main Vein and Rhapsody quickly became favorites. Copper’s design, rider culture, and thoughtful tools created one of the best snowboarding experiences I’ve had. Copper wasn’t just another resort — it felt like a mountain built for riders who truly love the sport. I absolutely understand the reputation now, and I’ll definitely be back.

Everyone is so completely friendly, especially the man who greeted us in the morning where the buses drop off people across from the Ten Mile Parking Lot. He welcomed us and made suggestiins where we could eat while our son was skiing. We did note that food and gift shops are pricey compared to Keystone and Breckenridge. We would have spent more if everyone dropped their prices by $3.00 at gift shops throughout. Our son enjoyed the many well groomed trails.

The resort was amazing, not long lift lines. The only downsides were that a lot of the mountain was closed and snow was slushy. Loved the terrain park. Overall, a great ski resort you should try.

Great lifts, has a variety of runs, Green, Blue and Black. Plenty of space to rest and great Eagle BBQ restaurant. Best feature is the Copper Mtn app which keeps track of your runs and all your friends / family on the mountain.
