We met Ken when our daughter had a Trial Lesson with him. Within those 30 minutes, she knew she wanted Ken to be her teacher when he played his guitar, showing her he could actually play it (and read music). She was blown away and wanted to be able to play her guitar as effortlessly as he did. Over the course of a year, our daughter has learned so much from Ken. Her technique with how she plays has changed, she has been challenged more so here (in the right way that a guitarist should be), her confidence has grown, and being able to play the music she enjoys has motivated her to be better than the last lesson. We've noticed that in between lessons, she will pick up her guitar and start playing; all without being told to practice her music. She liked playing the guitar before but now she LOVES it. That alone should tell you how great of a teacher Ken is! Additionally, our daughter has been able to participate in two of CMI's music recitals to further grow in performing in front of an audience. Ken has been there with her for each performance and she has found it helpful the way he preps her for recitals. The feedback she receives after these recitals has been so encouraging and supportive! We definitely appreciate all the hard work that goes into putting these together. If you're currently looking for a guitar teacher, please consider Ken.

Friendly, convenient, good hours and it’s all about music when you enter. My cello instructor Josep L is super. He knows his stuff. He’s professional but very personable. His corrections are right on. The class is a fun challenge, always keeps me learning and improving. I enjoy the homework assignments and going over music in all aspects.

My clarinet lesson with Maggie is the highlight of my week, as she is wise, curious, funny and very tolerant of my squeaks! I have had a lot of music lessons in my life, but mine with her are the most fun and rewarding.

Dr. Lyons is truly passionate about teaching. He leaves very long and detailed next steps after each lesson so my student can really grow their tuba skills.

We could not be happier with the instruction and care we've had from piano lessons with Oliver. He really understands our 8 year old and is able to keep her focused at her level so she has fun and keeps learning, feeling anything but forced!
