Julia gave us lessons for our wedding first dance and we had the best time working with her. She was so patient with us and we even learned a lift!! It was such a fun experience and our dance was beautiful!!

We took dance lessons with Brandon for our first dance at our wedding and had such a great experience! We learned so much about country swing and dancing that we can’t wait to take into future dance halls. We left feeling so confident and loved all the fun elements and surprises we added into our dance. Brandon was an amazing teacher, made us feel super comfortable, and made the whole process fun and easy. Highly recommend if you want to spice up your first dance and create something memorable for your wedding. Thanks Brandon, we appreciate you so much!

This is by far the most incredible dance studio. No matter what your skill or interest level is, it is a welcoming environment with the very best instructors anywhere. If you have an interest in learning to dance whether it be to learn to social dance, or dance at weddings or maybe you think that competing would be a challenge or maybe you want to get more active and keep your brain healthier by learning a new skill, give this place a try, you won’t regret it. Colorado Dancesport and the students there will become like a second family and they lots of opportunities to try like group classes, showcases and more. I have been here for almost 20 years and can’t imagine not being a part of this amazing facility of experienced instructors and dance family.

We did the 7 class package with Carlos. We had zero dance knowledge prior to starting these classes for our first dance. We decided to do a rumba style dance instead of a traditional wedding dance. Carlos helped us build the choreography from the ground up. He helped us to feel confident and broke every step down for us along the way!

My husband and I wanted to learn some ballroom dance basics to use in our first dance for our wedding, and we found this amazing studio. The price of their beginners package is unbeatable! We worked with Shawna and truly cannot say enough good things about her! We loved her so much that both my parents and my husband's parents ended up taking lessons with her, too! It was really fun to take lessons with my dad so we could practice our father-daughter dance. Pretty much everyone in my family was initially a little nervous about the idea of dancing in front of other people, and Shawna very quickly put those worries to rest by showing us how fun and easy dancing can be. What I really love about her teaching style is that she breaks the concepts down into bite-sized pieces that are really easy to understand, apply, and practice. She also shares the "why" behind why it's easier or more natural to do a move in a certain way, which makes it more fluid and easy to remember. Her pacing never felt rushed and was so perfect for us as beginners! I had found a few "advanced moves" that I thought would be beautiful to incorporate into our first dance, but had no idea how to do them (and was doubtful our skill level would allow it!) but Shawna easily broke those moves down, too, and showed us exactly how to do them. Before we knew it, we had a fully choreographed first dance, full of moves we both felt comfortable doing - and we actually looked elegant doing them! I am so thankful to Shawna for the fun experience, and the gift of feeling so confident during our first dance, father-daughter dance, and mother-son dance on our wedding night. We will definitely be coming back for more lessons as a fun date night!
