01Summer Dance Camp

Ended

A storytelling dance camp where each week revolves around a children's book: campers take a morning intro-ballet class, read the story together, invent dances with ballet-based movement, make props and costumes, and learn a non-ballet style (hip hop one week, jazz the next), capped by a Friday showcase.

I had my first ever ballet class today, and it was better than I could have even dreamed. I felt so welcomed by Solé. She was passionate and very helpful, made corrections when needed. I could tell everyone in the room was happy to be there and I will definitely be coming back!

If you're an adult looking to get back into the joys of dancing, look no further. After a 10 year hiatus after graduating high school, I felt very welcomed by this community at Colorado Conservatory of Dance. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable in proper technique and are helpful with giving constructive assistance. I'm looking forward to continuing my dance education with them and am very grateful that I was welcomed with open arms a few years ago!

We just saw their production of The Nutcracker and had such a good time! The choreography was amazing. We loved the dancers - everyone was so expressive. We thought this was much better than the production we saw at the CO Ballet - and these are almost all students! Can’t wait to see more!

The new lead at CCD( Sandra Parks since 2023) is phenomenal and progressive. My three daughters have been dancing here for several years and the last two years with Sandra have been incredible. The school focuses on performances and stage presence and not on competitive dance which is what my kids were looking for. Some of these productions are as top caliber as collegiate shows I saw at University of PA. There is a lot of love, laughter, nuttiness and grit amongst these families who do help keep this non-profit afloat. The faculty are invested, creative, and committed to these young kids and I’m so lucky to have found this place in the middle of the pandemic.

My two girls have been dancing here for the last six years. The new director (Sandra) is amazing and has brought so much focus and positive culture to the studio. The training is well rounded, instructors are top notch and kind. Classes are small and my girls get a lot out of them.
