Ok this camp is just amazing at the least. 2024 will be my 4 summer at Cheley and I love it so much. I had to leave early last year. But the staff, counselors , and camp directors were the best and so supportive. The activities are the BEST and I mean the BEST. Also the camp is the prettiest thing I have ever seen in my life. The kids are so nice and if is someone who isn’t the counselors are there to help and I promise you that. Finally the food omggg the food I am obsessed with the food. you get breakfast, lunch, And dinner then snacks like who doesn’t like that. All im saying is Cheley is the best thing ever. I ❤️ Cheley

One of the richest, most rewarding, experiences in our son's life. A truly exceptional experience where character is built in the context of community. Where joy is experienced and not simulated on a screen. Spending time at Cheley is a life-changing experience for kids in the very best sense.

My 13-year-old (entering eighth grade) daughter just returned from a month at Cheley Colorado Camp, and she had an amazing experience! She actually didn't want to go (she would rather sit in her room on her iPad), so we made her go. She begged us not to go but we thought it would be good for her. She arrived not knowing any other campers, and on the first day she wrote a letter to us complaining that she had to make her bed and she and the other girls had to keep their cabin clean/straightened, because they were graded as a group, and the cabin had to pass 'inspection'. Also during the first week, she and the other campers also had to come up with self-imposed rules, which emphasized character, accountability and teamwork. She was at a different out-of-state camp 2 years ago, and it was a nice experience but Cheley is on a 'totally next level' of a camp that builds character and really molds these kids with good values. Historically, she has kind of been an "Indoor girl", but at Cheley she voluntarily signed up for extra hikes and outdoor adventures. She really connected with other campers along with the amazing college kids who served as her camp counselors and mentors. When we went to pick her up at the end of camp, she gave out more hugs than I've ever seen her give, and she cried and she didn't want to leave Cheley! I cried too, watching it all! She said to my wife and I, "I didn't realize I could connect with people like this and feel so close to people in such a short amount of time." Taking away all of their devices (iPhones, iPads, etc.) at camp really helps them connect communicate, and she would admit that. Now , she is begging to go back next year! I can't say enough good things about Cheley, and the amazing things they are doing up there!! Thank you Cheley Camp!

Cheley has been a transformational experience for both of our children who have attended for several years. I cannot fully put into words how amazing this camp is, how caring the staff is, and the impact that this has had on our entire family. Cheley is not just a summer camp, but a place where your entire family unit belongs. Our children have become better, more confident people as a direct result of their summers spent in Estes Park at Cheley.
