A five star rating is a rating of excellence. And that will be your experience at Catholic charities Marian house. I had just recently experienced a death in the family as well as a change in beneficial health. Two weeks later I lost most of my income with the loss of a home health care client. When I walked into Catholic charities I was broken and lost and I was unsure fully of what to expect. I was greeted with an amazing individual named Rob. He was kind-hearted, soft-spoken and extremely compassionate concerning my set of circumstances. He graciously offered all that the program had to offer to help alleviate some of my mental and financial stresses. I went back to see him a month later and I sat in a corner and watched him interact with others. It was easy to see he didn't just have compassion for me and my issues, he genuinely had a heart full of compassion towards the community and anyone that walked through that door. He honestly moved me to tears because true compassion and care seem to be scarce anymore. Most people at other organizations treat you like you're just a name & a number... I truly wish there were more Robs left in the world. When you see someone helpless, homeless, or just way down on their luck and you have a heart that's willing to lift them up, encourage them and help them along their way... Let's just say you are pure gold... Thank you Rob for having a heart of gold. You've touched and changed many lives. Not with what the organization does alone, but by your words, your willingness to suggest, and all of your sincerity. You truly are appreciated. You did well when you hired him Catholic Charities... You did well. Sincerely, Thalia Adele

I was at Catholic Charities today for their pantry. It was my first time, and every person I talked to was welcoming and willing to help with any of my questions. In the pantry itself, I could not believe how much I was able to get with their various shelving system. Some of the items were real treats to me! I can not say thank you enough for the kindness you gave me!

They weren't helpful unfortunately. I really need assistance in seeking employment, an all I got was a handout with day labor on there. I came in two hours prior to closing which I would think plenty of time but not I guess. Never called me back, an also said they have limited funds left for housing assistance an I'm not sure what deemed me unqualified for that but....... My experience not really helpful. Lady helping me was not "helping me" at all unless that's what she is supposed to do is give you a list of day labor places an have you fill out a form with your information which I could have done online an saved myself a bus ride all to not get contacted for anything other then a sorry for ya basically. Hopefully this isn't everyone's experience.
