My child currently attends Coal Creek elementary. This is an absolutely awful elementary school. Her second grade teacher is extremely mean and rude to her. When my daughter asks for help , the teacher tells her to go fix it. I have witnessed a very little education and progress in my child's learning. She learns more at home than she does at school. One of the cafeteria staff put a bruise on my daughter's knee yesterday. I'm sure that every school within this district is not quite as bad as Coal Creek. But their school is so extremely unfriendly that they even take off their google reviews and do not allow you to post them about their elementary. Posting reviews for this school is not allowed. I placed a very small and discreet video camera on my child 43 weeks

Calling them for several years now due to unending noise pollution from Centaurus High School. Also this school causes our neighborhood to be very dangerous due to unending competitions with thousand or more people and vehicles creating severe safety issues. We have had to cancel family parties on weekends because our guests have to park over a mile away. This happens almost every weekend. It’s nonstop noise every day and night of the week, year round. They also have very bright lights causing light pollution night after night. The students destroyed a playground near our house and when I took my grandson to this park, the students were so rude that they sat on the playground equipment, and I had to tell them to get off so the children could play. Nobody cares that this high school has destroyed our neighborhood and this neighborhood will have to start filing noise and safety complaints with the city. The rudest school district ever!

I love it here. The community is great and the staff is amazing. The location is all over boulder so its convenient to any neighbor hood. The schools are clean and the busses are clean to. The schools rage from different teaching styles so nice choices.

1 of every 6 comments are about no snow days, get over yourself. This is not the south where if there is an inch of snow on the ground, the city shuts down. If the roads are clear, school is on. And to all the middle schoolers giving 1 star reviews, school sucks but that is because of puberty, not BVSD. The district is fine.

Do not go to they will try to make yours and your child's life hell if you stand up for your child. I have only had dealings with them through emails and so far gather threats are a way of them to handle things and schools always right parents not. This dealing is over my special needs son and life support and the lack of attention an concern is related to how these things are handled.
