My girlfriend and I did the gold mountain via Ferrata with our guide Nico. We had such an amazing experience and Nico was a big part of that! He is extremely knowledgeable and very well versed in the history of the mountain and surrounding area. He took us up the most challenging route and instilled a lot of confidence in us the whole time. He also took loads of pictures and videos during the climb. Would 100% do it again without any hesitation.

My 14 year old son and I had an amazing experience on the Ouray Via Ferrata with our guide, Max. He was totally engaging, and met both of us in awesome conversations about all kinds of topics while we climbed the route, as well as kept out an eye for safety at all times. He was great company, encouraging, educational, and an excellent guide. Overall 10/10! we had a super time, many thanks to Max and Basecamp Ouray!

We recently did an ice climbing guided trip with Basecamp Ouray and it was amazing! No one in our group had ever ice climbing before, so we had no idea what to expect. From the booking process to the day, everything was smooth and easy. Everyone we talked to at Basecamp Ouray was every friendly and knowledgable. The day before the trip, our guide, Alex called to make sure we got everything we need. On the day of, as soon as we arrived, Alex, Spencer and Rex were there to help us get fitted for our gear and answer all the questions that we had. They were very patience because we had a lot of questions. Once we all got fitted, Alex and Spencer shuttled us to the Ice Park. Both of our guides were very patience while explaining things and showing us the rope. I couldn't get the kicking technique down so i couldn't make it up the first climb. So, i was very discourage and wasn't sure if i wanted to continue. Alex was so encouraging. He made sure to stay with me and get me to practice my technique. Finally, i was able to get a couple of climbs in. I almost gave up but I'm glad i didn't. I felt very empowered. Because most of the group did really good, Alex and Spencer took us to a harder but more beautiful climbs to get us try that out. That was thrilling and I was glad they let us to that. All around, we were very grateful for Alex and Spencer! And if you're interesting on trying ice climbing, we highly recommend getting a guided tour with Basecamp Ouray! It was hard but it was so much fun! and so beautiful!

Milo and Max were our guides on the Downstream Via Ferrata. They were excellent in every way from checking our gear, providing instructions and just plain making our experience so much fun! We definitely all want to come back to do Gold Mountain with these 2 again next year. The rock climbing was so much fun and thrilling. My nephew, granddaughters, son and his wife and yes me (68 years old and never even did an indoor course) all did 2 different climbs with our dream duo Milo and Max. My nephew had the time of his life with Max the following day as they did much higher and challenging climbs. Basecamp Ouray's Logan and Rex worked with us to add my son's family to our original 3 when they decided to join in for our first day of adventure. They strive to make each and every trip with them incredible and they all surpassed our highest expectations ❤️. My husband, nephew and I are stoked to try ice climbing in February. We plan on Gold Mountain next June.
