Working with Anxiety Solutions of Denver has been a great experience! I worked with Dr. Gaus, who I found to be deeply knowledgeable, a clear communicator, very empathetic and friendly, and effective in identifying and treating the root of the problem. Treating anxiety-based disorders can be nuanced and complicated, and Dr. Gaus effectively balanced clinical knowledge and treatment protocols with a personalized and person-centered approach. I'd certainly recommend this practice to anyone looking for specialized treatment for anxiety or OCD, and will return myself if I ever need further support!

The exposure therapy or ACT therapy principles they use may work for some, but not for others. I was diagnosed with ASD, but was having symptoms that seemed to resemble OCD I was forced to undergo therapy here as a minor; the exposure therapy did not work for me and caused me to have more anxiety, which led to me having anger. When they tried to utilize the same Exposure therapy and ACT principles to manage my behavior, it caused me even more anger and stress. All of this caused me to fear working with behavioral health providers. After much work, it became apparent that my OCD symptoms were actually ASD issues, and wouldn't be treated well with the exposure therapy or ACT protocols. I will say that part of the problem may have been that I was working with a PsyD student extern, I feel that they need more supervision, or to be prohibited from working with adolescents.

I am a psychologist who has been referring clients to Anxiety Solutions for years. They are the very best in the Denver area for treating anxiety, especially OCD and panic attacks. I highly recommend them to anyone struggling with anxiety who has not made progress on their own or in typical talk therapy.

This is one of the best places in Colorado to go for anxiety and OCD. We know several people that have been treated here and they have always had a great experience. The clinicians are professional, polite, and obviously take what they do very seriously. It is so helpful that they have a focused mission to specifically help people with anxiety related problems. So glad they are here in Colorado!
